ok i have 2 audiobahn 10" subs that are rated about 300-500 watts each, and a us acoustic mono amp(usx800d)pushing them, now im not getting it to hit the way i like so i was thinking 1 of 2 things. if i run just a single amp with that single sub will that give me more bass and clarity, or should i still use 2 subs with 2 diffent amps or 1 bigger amp, im just worried about my electrical system,i dont want to upgrade the altenator casue its lested but i have a yellow top in there now with the following equipment
cva1003
xm radio
6diskc changer
in dash dvd player
whelen strobe light pack
real hid head lights
now most of it is not on all at once but just letting you know. i have a 1 farad cap with my system and really have no problems but let me know what you guys think
thanks

I think we have talked about these subs before https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=3893&KW=1000eu they are the same as these http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ABNAW1000X only difference is one is American and one is European. Each one is 600 watts rms and has dual 4 ohm voice coils.  Now you can either run 2 of them on 1 amp and get an amp that puts out 1200 watts RMS @ 1 ohm. Or 2 separate amps each one must put out 600 watts rms @ 2 ohms. I would suggest that you go with one amp such as the  Audiobahn A12001D. Now as far as power goes with 1200 watts rms + all the other things you have you should upgrade the charging system. But with your 800 watt amp do the lights dim? Also you said you don’t like the way it sounds what’s wrong with it and what type and size enclosure are they in?

1ft^3 isn't all that much. and if you're not getting enough current, get a new alternator. Farads won't magically fix everything, they only fix very slight dimming problems.

The enclosure is the correct size for the subs. If you run a direct line from the battery to the head like we talked about before it should clean up that dimming. I would suggest that you upgrade your amplifiers either go with one 1200 watt rms @ 1ohm or 2 600 watt rms @ 2ohm amps. But if you’re looking for more bass and clarity you should consider upgrading your subs.

I think you could defiantly go for some better subs. Those are Audiobahns entry level sub. But how do you like them as far as sq and SPL? But defiantly run that new cable.
