Hey there, I am planning on re-doing my whole system eventually, just as soon as I can get some dough.  Anywho I plan buying 2 -12" subs and putting them into a bandpass box.  I was looking at these Audiobahn's.  Now are these subs good quality, or are they just not worth the money.  And if these are worth my money what amp would a good run these.

I'm not looking for perfect presision, nor am I looking to break world records.  I want my car to be heard, and to shake me and my passanger, but I don't need something that can be heard 200 yards away.  I am also trying to save money.

Those subs can not be put in a band pass enclosure. And to be honest I would not waste your money on the subs. I ran some 08 for about a year or so and had lots of problems with them. They look nice but they are not very reliable. But if you tell us what your budget for subs and amp is maybe we can make some suggestions.

Well unfortunetly I am poor, and I'm looking to only spend a max of 500 for the subs, box, and amp.  Is my goal achievable with this little money?

Also I need one more opinion.  I will soon enough need to replace the 6.5's in my doors, I only want to spend maybe 150 there, so any suggestions?  (I usually shop ebay so I try to find myself some deals)

I would suggest some comp VR's ($155 eBay) http://kicker.com/ShowPage.cfm?filename=compvrsub.html&menu=SUBWOOFERS and a JBL 1200.1 http://www.purecaraudio.com/product.asp?0=200&1=352&3=322 that leaves you about $50 for an enclosure.  With that amp you can get either the 4 or 2ohm model and wire it in parallel to the amp
4 ohm http://www.audiobahninc.com/tech/wiring/parallel_parallel_dual_4.pdf
2 ohm http://www.audiobahninc.com/tech/wiring/parallel_parallel_dual_2.pdf

I was planning on something small, like 80ish watts to each.  I don't want my subs to drowned out everything else, so is 80watts efficent, or do I need more/less?

Sorry for the double post, I cannot figure out how to edit my old one.  But with the Comp VR's should I use a bandpass box or sealed or...

When you say 80 watts are you talking about your subs or your 6.5's ?

I was talking about the 6.5's.  Is that way too much, or too less?  Keep in mind I am no speaker guiness, and I have no idea about wiring.  After I purchase all my accessories me and my dad are going to try to wire it all up.  If all else fails we'll head over to Curcuit City and get some help.
