how difficult it the installers test for the MECP cert? also what requirements must be made to achieve elegiability for the other levels of installing?

The test is difficult if not impossible for a nocive, but fairly straight forward for an experienced professional.  Here's the details for you.  Good luck!

i got the mecp book and was hoping to take the test in the fall when i turn 18.  Any hints on things that i need to cover extremely well?

just another question for a to know thing. what is required to keep your certification up to date? do you have to take the test every 2 years or w/e it is for the level cert you have?

Hmm, I know there are annual dues to be a member of CEA (usually the company you work for joins) but I don't believe the exam certification expires... or does it?  Hey all you professional car audio installers, what's the scoop on this one?

I thought you have to renew every 2 years, but mabye I am wrong

Ketel22, having watched your posts over the past several months, I have seen that you do a lot of research in figuring possible solutions to questions, and have a good sense for troubleshooting.   I would say that you are well on your way to becoming a good audio tech.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

thanks for the compliment but i think im still far from what i should be able to do.....i do try to excell in my work tho. only exception has become highschool
