Installing in dash-receiver ’99 taurus

yea instead of replacing the whole unit in my 99' taurus im just splicing the wires into the new receiver and i was wondering if any1 has any tips or knows any info on what wires to connect or what to do? i found the ground,power so it turned on..but i need more info on the wires....please help!

Metra should have a harness for this car.  The tuner is at the antenna sidewall in the trunk.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Uh, yeah. Buy the harness or waste alot of time and effort rewiring the car and antenna. Everything you need is in the trunk. You need this, and if you want the radio in the stock location, and this..

i need a diagram that will help direct me in the  color code for the stock wires to the deck of a 99' taurus..anything will help....thankz ahead of time.

i just pulled out the stock radio again and those colors do not match.i have a 99'taurus with the digital climate control.

That is because you have an amplifier in the trunk. Your antenna is also in the trunk. You should buy the wiring harness for this car if you are putting in a radio.
