
mounting amp on sub box

My sub box wont let me mount the amp on top of it because of the bandpass holes. i wanted to know where i should put the amp. here is a picture of my sub box:

Mount the amp where you can see it...mount the sub box where you can't!
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

just kidding... why not mount the amp separate from the box?
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Indeed, mounting seperate from the "box" is the preferred method.

well i hear its better to mount the amp on top of the box but i can so i wanted to know the next best thing.

Whoever told you that is wrong. Mounting your amp on the enclosure is one way to create premature failure of the amp.
