Hey, here's my problem. I've got an old sony cdx-2100 from a rummage sale. i don't have the wire codes knowing where to connect in the car. Naturally, when the last stereo was taken out they cut the wires. i have tested to see if it would power up on the car battery by twisting the red and orange cables and attaching the ground to the neg. the red power light didn't turn on, but i heard the cd deck read as though it was looking for a disc. question one, will the hu work if i wire properly, it did take power but the red power light never fired up.

question 2: i've done all the wiring searches here and found this link:

1992-93 Plymouth Sundance/Duster Stereo Information

for my g/f's cars wiring. but i don't have the proper wiring for the hu. i've got the most recent which is yellow for constance memory

red = ignition

black = ground

everything look right, or any suggestions?

thanks!!93 sundance duster stereo -- posted image.

i made the retarded mistake of cutting my wiring harness off of my g/f's 93 sundance duster. can it be replaced as i've had some adapters given to me that would make installation that much easier!

thanks

Yes.  You can solder the original connector back on or, if you don't have it, purchase one from a dealer or a junk yard.  Match up wire colors, solder and insulate.

Its only a simple mistake. You are not a retard, unless you did not learn from this, and repeated it.
Then, the phrase would not be retard, it would be loser.
