Guys,

I just bought a Eclispe DA7232 amp and I plan on running my 2 Eclispe SW8122DVC subs. My question is I can run each sub to each channel of that amp with a 2ohm load right (parallel)? Eclipse tells me I need to set the amp to L+R since my sub preout on my deck is L+R does this sound right? I have always ran my amps with the "mono" setting when running subs..

yeah, or use a ysplitter. you might want to bridge the amp, wire each sub to 2ohms and then wire the subs in a series for 4ohms. it would be a bit more nice to the amp

The amp is a 2 channel Subwoofer amp and from what I understand is each channel can handle a 2ohm load per channel. I'm thinking for ease of installation I can just run one sub per channel with a 2ohm load per channel. I have DVC 4ohm subs which wired in parallel is a 2ohm load to each channel I believe. The L+R setting is something I have never heard of...

i take back on the wiring suggestion, didnt know the amp was a class d. damn, i was putting 400rms into one of those subs, that amp might be a bit overkill. should be fine, if your sub out is stereo great, if not, use a y-splitter and you should be all set.

From what I understand the SW8122DVC subs are underrated and this amp should really wake them up.. Stereo? Eclipse suggested L+R. The amp has three settings mono(L), Stereo, or L+R. I have always just used mono setting on my other amp and I shouldn't use stereo since its subs I'm driving and not full range right?

most bass is recorded in mono but i have heard some electronica where the bass is recorded in stereo. in a car it doesnt matter as it will sound like it is coming from just the rear, but it also doesnt matter if you have the subs in stereo. how are the preouts on your deck setup? that should be the basis for your decision

My deck has sub preouts L+R I assume I haven't owned a deck with only one sub out. Every deck I have owned has had the L+R sub outs but I have still ran the amp at mono and not stereo or L+R.. I'm just wanting to make sure I have this amp setup right.

I think why they told me to run the amp with the L+R setting is that is mono for both the left and right channels.. Most decks now days have a L+R (mono) subwoofer preouts so this is why the amp has this setting for running subs.. The amp is a 2 channel Class D subwoofer amp.. What do you think?

A DA7232 + SW8122, almost as good as a hot short chick with 34c's. And that's what I think.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
