Installed a sirius starmate into a 2003 Nissan Maxima/ hardwired fm modulator. After the instalation the tweeters will pop only on the xm radio. Tried switching out the fm modulator and still had the same resault. Tomarrow i'm going to try to install a different unit and see what happens, also going to try to do bass blockers on the tweeters and see if that helps. If anyone has had this problem before, any help will do.

To me that just sounds like fm interference. And if this is the case bass blockers aren't going to do much.

usually tweeters pop when you put to much power into them, but i agree with dwarren bass blockers are not going to do anything for that, i would go with getting a new unit to see if that was the problem

Just tried the bass blockers and got nothing. Another installer said he had the same problem in a newer accord. He tried everything. Could it be that Tweeters get to much power from the sat radio. But it wouldn't make sense that it would work fine with cd and other radio stations.

yea i dont see why they would pop unless there is a noticible difrence between the cd play and the xm radio, i would just say that you should just go get another unit and see if it does the same thing.
