i have a 1.25 cf box and can put up to 4 10" subs in it,  what would be the best choice,, just put two in or four.... i currently have 4 10" idq dual voice coil subs......    i know 1.25 cf is small but what would 2 vs 4 be in sound quality.   or two & ported... sorry for the dumb question, just want it to sound the best. and get some decent spl.......   or any recommendations on differnet subs?

Each sub needs .25 - .50 cu.ft. Sealed and .75 - 1.00 cu.ft. Ported so either set up will work.  If you run just two of them ported you will loose SQ as well as SPL compared to 4 sealed. However the 4 10’s can get some very good SQ if run correctly. If I were you I would run all 4 of them sealed.
