Sure, it is the wire masquerading as one of the many in your vehicle......more info needed dude. What is the year, make and model of the vehicle please. You might also want to look to the <-------- side of the screen in the blue sidebar under vehicle wiring in the future.

most cars have extra slots in the fuse box labeled "IGN" or "ACC" that you can easily tap into for a switched source if all else fails.

ok my vehicle is a 1985 Ford Ranger, and thanks for the help so far, also I am installing a Dual XDM6820 (not sure if that is needed or not) Thanks!!

ok, i just found the vehicles wiring chart ( https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1983-85&make=Ford&model=Ranger&ID=17840&type=Stereo ) so according to this the switched is the yellow and black wire and the constant is the light green right?

sorry for posting alot, but i went into my truck and looked and there is no yellow/bland wire, and 2 light green ones, how do i tell the diff? also there is a grey and yellow wire, would that be it?   THnksa!

What you should do is test the wires with a multimeter to be sure.  If you don't have one, you can get a cheap one from RadioShack.  Otherwise if you hook something up wrong, you could possibly cause damage to your equipment/vehicle.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
