Having trouble finding the door pins on this truck. I need for sequencing the set-up for a manual tranny install. I have hooked up to the dome sensor but that shuts it down cause light comes on upon engine shutdown. This has become a real pain in the butt. Has anyone got a way around this?

These trucks have "Normally Closed" door pins and you need to either build a pull-up circuit or add a DEI 452D module.

Door Pin FL Yellow/Black In Driver's Door Boot

Door Pin RL Lt.GREEN/ YELLOW In Driver's Kick Panel

Door Pin FR Gray/Red Passenger Door Boot

Door Pin RR Pink/Lt.Blue In Driver's Kick Panel

Those colors are for Trucks with factory Keyless Entry System. If not equipped with this option, the Drive's door pin wire color is

GREEN/ YELLOW (-) in driver's door boot and the 3 other doors are Pink/Lt.Blue in driver's kick (Crew cab)

The diagram that I sent you for the Pontiac should also work for the Ford. It's a generic diagram that isolates the door trigger from the BCM so you don't get the RS to acknowledge the dome light trigger after shut down.

I got the stuff from Jeff but I'm still at a loss. Where are the wires in this truck that I should be using? How do I turn the open pin into a pos trigger? For that matter, where is the pin wire or do I use the blk/blu in the kick panel? This one is really starting to bug me!

I hadn't seen Jeff's diagram but I assume he's using the BLACK/ Blue domelight in positive trigger but timer isolating it during remote start so it's isolated for a few seconds after remote start shuts down. That'll work. (would you care to upload to "downloads" section so we can take a look, Jeff?)

Your second option is my idea using a "pull-up". The individual door pins are in three seperate locations. LF is at drivers door boot. RF is passenger door boot. Rear doors are along driver's door sill plate.

Jeff, you hadn't had any problems with N.C. circuits drawing 12 milliamps? That's sounds like a lot for smaller batteries. GM's fail to start with more than 50 milliamps after two days.

Never had a problem with this hook up with battery drains. An additional 12 mA is small enough that it will not affect the rest of the system. Most of these vehicles come with a 550-650 CCA rated batteries and would take some time before 12 mA would cause any sort of problems.
