Count the number of led flashes after it fails to start.   Most likely problems are : x = number of flashes on the module

  • 4x no tach signal
  • 5x hood open
  • 8x switch is in OFF

Well in that case, check for +12 volts at the module, make sure the ground & antenna is properly connected. After that, try to reprogram the remote.

dip sw 8 up, hit the brake once, press any button on the remote,  dip sw down & hit the brake once more. Try to remote to see if it works.

Another thing I can think of, it has dc volt presented at the ign wire. It could be caused by a backfeed or a faulty ign switch. You might want to check it with a dmm.
