Hi there, my car is a 97 Sebring vert
sorry to bother, but i have alot of questions on installing my car/remote alarm system: Audiovox prestige 996: LINK
1: What kind of wires can i use to wire doorlocks, trunk, starter, tach etc....?
2: How can i use my shock sensor and radar sensor on my brain? wire parallel to the brain? or use a output from the brain? I have relay with harness but i donot know how to wire the sensor to the relay. Both sensors have 4 wires(Red, Black, Green, Blue) Where can i install my radar sensor?
Regarding the 97 Sebring Vert wiring diagram:
3: Why is it that under the Alarm & Remote Start sections, both uses the same wire? For example:
RemoteStart;
Start - Yellow - ignition harness
Ignition #1 - D Blue - ignition harness
Alarm;
Starter Kill - Yellow - ignition harness
Ignition +12 volts - D Blue - ignition harness
4: Is there any place nearer to wire my tach wire?
This is my first time doing wiring on cars and installing an alarm, it is a pretty challenging project for me.
all advice is appreciated, thanks.
Dan

Constant 12 volts RED (2) & BLACK IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Ignition 12 volts D BLUE IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Starter YELLOW IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Dome Light YELLOW (-) BLACK 3 PIN CONN. IN DR. KICK PANEL
Trunk Pin Switch TAN/BLACK (-) 8 PIN BLK CONN. LEFT OF STEERING COL.
Parking Lamp BLACK / YELLOW (+) GRAY 16 PIN CONN. AT FUSE BLOCK
Power Lock SINGLE WIRE SYSTEM 20 PIN CONNECTOR AT BODY CONTROL
Power Unlock WHITE/ L GREEN MODULE IN DRIVER KICK PANEL #217
#217- See Single Wire Resistor Door Lock Diagram.
yes they both will use the same wires. they are designed to do that. you can just use the wires that came with the alarm...See Single Wire Resistor Door Lock Diagram
Tach Signal BLACK/ GRAY AT DISTRIBUTOR (6 CYLINDER) *
Ignition #2 D GREEN/ RED IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS ** #235
Ignition #3 BLACK/ ORANGE IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS **
Accessory BLACK/ WHITE IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS **
Neutral Safety BLACK/ L BLUE (-) AT SWITCH ON TRANSMISSION
Brake Light WHITE/ TAN (+) AT SWITCH ABOVE BRAKE PEDAL
Reverse Light VIOLET/BLACK (+) 16 PIN GRN CONN. LEFT OF STEERING COL
you will need a 620 ohm on the lock wire and a 2.7k ohm on the unlock wire...
Good Luck

Thanks, is this the same diagram for lock/unlock: LINK
If so, does that mean i need 2 relays?
On the Ignition #2, you have a #235, where can i find diagrams #217 & #235?
On my second question, how can i connect 2 sensors with 4 pin connectors?
No one have told me about hooking up to my speed sensor, is it necessary since only 1 installer have told me about it.

This alarm/r.s should be installed by a prof. If you have never installed before this is a complicated unit to do a first time install
And the question about the shick sensor and the relay
-the relay is for the starter kill-the shock sensor plugs directly into the unit
-tach wire has to go to dist. or uncommon color wire of fuel injectors
-radar sensor? are you talking about the antenna, again it just plugs into the unit!
-i think you are looking at a designtech wire diagram, just use the remote start diagram for the ignition wires, the starter kill color is just the starter.
-you have to thoroughly read the instruction manual unless (and trust me on this) you are going to be without a car for a while and wind up paying someone anyway
-you probably bought the unit on the internet for 140
but your local shop charges 400-500, why do you think the labor costs 300-400 - this takes time and experience!!
Also is your key head grey? if so you have another problem to defeat -you have a chip in the key!
GOOD LUCK, hope I helped

I will read my manual over and over.
All help appreciated.

I'm doing my parking lights now, my manual says connect the Parking Light Flasher Feed to a fused constant +12v source. (Max 15Amps)
Can i use a 30Amps fuse instead? Cos i want to tap it into the +12v my alarm is using with a 30Amp fuse.

No you can not use a 30 amp fuse for the parking light because you do not need a fuse that large. The larger the fuse, the more amperage it takes to blow it and in the case of the parking light, it is better to have a lower fuse rating than a higher one.

BTW Draasch, the brand of unit is " Audiovox prestige 996: LINK " as stated in the first post Newbie Alarm questions -- posted image.
