Installed a strt/alrm combo (Ultrastart 2250), unit into a 03 civic (auto) the other day, with a AUT-HONDA3 bypass. Everthing went great, everything works great (man i love installin on hondas). Anwys customer calls me today and tells me his security light ( little green key sign in the cluster) comes on when remote started. he knows that in usually flashes upon start up, then goes away, it does that when started normally with the key. but lightt stay on when remote started. This is my first 03 civic, never had this problem with 01-02's. Wondering if anyone out there knows wat the deal is?
will grounding the keysense wire help?

I think it's the BLUE/RED wire found in a gray plug above the fuse panel. It is (-) trigger.

DEI's 555i already requires a connection to the keysense wire, Blue/red at ignition cylinder in 4 (or 6?) pin green plug if I remember correctly.
I've heard of the green key staying on occasionally when your driving after a remote start attempt. Not sure what the problem is. I've only had one person complain about it...and of course it was a sidejob I did.

i don't know if im understanding this correctly, but shouldn't the security light go away when the key is inserted after remote starting(b4 driving off). I understand if it stays on during the remote start process, cause the car "sees" no key in the ingition. Haven't tired ground keysense yet, won't get the car until monday.

Had the same problem, here's the fix, use a relay, pin 30 and pin 85 to chassis ground, pin 86 to ignition wire on security plug, pin 87 to out when running, hope this helps...chris

I have the exact problem with my 2002 Honda CR-V. I connected the unit as per the instructions but for some reason the green key light keeps flashing after I insert the key and drive off with the car.

How did you ground only during remote start and not at any other time?

Thanks.
