Hi everyone. Been looking through these forums for a method of removing that black box from the steering column. There is no way that there is only the one torx screw holding that thing on. It seems like there are connectors attached to it, but something in the middle is holding fast to this box.
Anybody have a lot of experience removing these? I'm tempted by soldering the wires to the pins on the open side of the ignition harness's plug and avoid removing this box at all.

If the 2010 is the same body style as the 06/07 then you do not need to remove the black box. You can grab all the ignition wires are the base of the black box connector. This is where I normally get mine.
