Hey guys,

I am working on a 05 TL. I installed the remote starter without the factory disarm wire attached(didn't want to go through the door). started the car when it was locked, and the alarm went off. So i realize i have to hook that wire up.  I read somewhere that i can install a xk01 module in it. couple questions

1. Will i have to install both the pkh34 bypass module and xk01 at the same time or can i just use xk01?

2. Someone told me that i can do a double pulse on the RCS to disable the factory alarm, is this true?

3. Is there another way to do the factory disarm without going through the drivers door ie; kick panel or something like that?

Thanks for your help

George

1.  The XK01 will not do the Transponder bypass function.  You would need both modules.

2. and 3.  All the info I have indicates that Alarm arm / disarm is done at the Driver Door Module in the door. ( Unless you use a module. )

There are bypass modules that perform both functiuons.  The iDatalink ADS-DLSL-HA and the Fortin EVO-ALL do both.

Soldering is fun!

the evo-all from fortin is a very nice module. it will do everything from door locks, trunk, disarm etc by data and bypass as well.

this is definitly the fastest way to install a unit, but the evo-alldoes come with a high sticker price.
