I am installing remote start in my girlfriends 2004 Infinity G35. I can not get the FL Can to program properly for the life of me. It flashes colors at will it seems like. I have the rest of the system working perfect and the car attempts to crank but does not.
I did not use D2D and opted to hard wire everything. I have Ground/Power... Security Light, Can High and Can Low hooked up, as well as the ignition input tied into the ignition output from to the remote starter.
As I was typing this I realized I may need the Ground when Running Connected, can anyone confirm this? What would the ground when running connect to on the alarm? (Viper 5204V)

Actually cancel that on GWR, I actually did connect that to Status output.

Yes GWR is necessary with W2W mode.  Connect to the Viper Blue (-) 200mA Status Output wire.

A few questions...

Did you get the FLCAN flashed with the FLC-AL(DL)-NI1 firmware?

Did you set he FLCAN Installation Mode to Standard ( 2 blinks ) and lock it in?

Soldering is fun!

Using Install Guide #5463 for the FLCAN flashed with FLC AL(DL) NI1 firmware.

Do the Factory Reset  procedure as shown on Page 11, then continue on to the Install mode selection on the

top of Page 10 and then the actual vehicle programming on the middle of Page 10.

Please note that while it is not actually shown in the Type 3 diagram, the R/S's Ignition1 wire also goes to the

G35's BLACK/ Red Ignition wire.  The FLCAN must see its' Ignition input wire go to +12V to initiate programming.

Soldering is fun!

Correct, I do have it to the Pink Ign 1. I will try factory resetting and programming again. Thank you for your help so far.

Ok I played with it in some odd sequence (which made no sense with what the directions said) and it started. Now the car turns on then shuts off. I am thinking I just need to just adjust the tach mode.
For hardwired tach should it be set to voltage (option 2) or tach (option 4)? Virtual tach is 1 and nothing for option 3.
