A few thoughts.
1. You must be in Tach Mode and the Tach signal must be successfully learned.
2. To enter Reservation Mode the engine must be running ( Thick Blue wire connected
to the vehicles Pink main Ignition wire ) and the U1281 must see the Parking Brake
being applied. Verify that the wire listed below is connected to a valid (-) Parking
Brake signal.
Pin 8 BLACK/ WHT Park Brake Input (-) Connect to the Park Brake wire. Must be
connected on manual transmission models.
Parking Brake Yellow (-) @ dash fuse box, white 16 pin plug (4C), pin 2 or switch
Additionally, after Reservation Mode is set, to get the engine to remote start, you will
need to bypass the Clutch interlock switch. Here is that info from Omega :
Clutch Pedal YELLOW (INPUT) BLACK (OUTPUT) (+N.O.) @ CLUTCH PEDAL SWITCH
You could use the AUX1 output ( set to IGN1 ) and a relay for this.

Hello - thanks for the update!
I connected tach and did tach learning. The system flashes/chirps twice indicating it learned the tach signal per the installation manual.
The ignition output from the remote starter is correctly showing 12 volts at the plug to the brain when the key is in on, run and start positions.
I do try to enter reservation mode with the engine running but it doesn't do anything. It simply flashes 4 times for some reason telling me it's not in reservation mode.
I tested all major wires that could interfere with the starter's function (parking brake, door trigger, brake switch, ground) and everything is reading the correct voltage/polarity right at the plug for the brain so I know the connections are solid.
I haven't done the clutch bypass yet (thanks for that wiring info that will be helpful!) because I don't like to add any additional wires until I know the base installation works, but I should still be able to set reservation mode and then remote start the vehicle with manually pressing the clutch shouldn't I?
Howie - not sure what you are referencing. I have never had to hook up a keysense wire to the starter and there is no keysense input on this model either. In my experience with the Ultra brand, when the engine is running, you can either trigger "pit stop" mode or use lock/unlock, but the system already knows the engine is running on it's own.
Im stumped... I've never had this problem before! :(
Thanks so much all!
