Want heated seats to come on when starting truck with remote start.
So I've got an aftermarket remote start installed in my 2008 Ford Super Duty Power Stroke diesel truck. I asked to have my heated seats turn on when I remote start the truck, they said it can't be done. Surely there's a way to do it. Has anybody been able to do this successfully if so how did you do it. Thank you!

Was it the original install company that said you couldn't do it?
I would assume whoever did it originally had the ability to program your control module. If not, I suggest taking it somewhere who can.
Otherwise, you could attempt to wire it yourself, then take it somewhere for programming.
Do you know what control module you have? The slice is just the remote Kit.

Yes it was the original install company that told me it couldn't be done cause they have had problems in the past. They are a good reputable shop, surprised they couldn't do it. The control module they used is Compustar 6200S Controller(DT) Model: FT6200S-CONT

If your system has a rear defrost output, maybe you could use this to trigger a relay. Otherwise, a ground-while-running wire might be used. I'm not familiar with Compustar. Just test the wires at the switch, and program accordingly.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Maybe there is something with your truck's particular wiring that they didn't want to do it. Looking at a diagram, it doesn't look special. Just programming a couple POC to aux outs, and connecting them.
Is it still under warranty with them? If not, maybe try somewhere else.
