I have installed a CT-3300 in my 2000 Accord LX -- partial success.  The unit will CRANK, but will not run unless the key is IN the ignition and turned to the first on position (blower off, radio on).  I have connected it according to the instructions, into the ignition harness wires.

Is there an extra security feature in the ignition key switch that's causing the problem?

The door lock/unlock with remote works OK.

Any suggestions?

I did not install a "bypass".   Installed only what came with the basic kit.  What's a bypass for?

Did you install an immobolizer for the factory anti theft system.  That is why it is starting with the key in the ignition.  You can go to a car audio shop and purchase a bypass (like crimestopper), or you can do it the old fashion way and use one of the factory keys and wrap 30 guage wire around the plastic part of the key and the other end around the black plastic ring of the key cylinder.  The key side of the wire goes to pin 30 of a SPDT relay, the ignition side of the 30 guage wire goes to 87, +12V to pin 85, and ground when running, or ground when remote start to pin 86.  This tricks your immobilizer system, thinking a key is in the ignition when remote starting.  Secure the wire to the key and the ingnition ring very tightly with black tape.  You may have to adjust the wire numerous times on the ring and the key.

Check you connections on the primary ignition wires.  I show:

constant 12V      White

Ignition 12V        BLACK / YELLOW

Ignition 2             Yellow

Accessory           WHITE/ black

Starter                 BLACK/ white

BE SURE TO grab the starter wire that comes out of the fuse box.  There will be a relay in the fuse/relay box that will "click" when you start the car.  Put your finger on it to find it.  Pull the relay out, find the BLACK/ white wire coming out of the box, and test to see if throwing 12V when starting (the car will not start).  If not throwing, connect here.  If you connect the start wire at the ignition harness, it will activate the "check engine" light.

there is a chip in the head of the key that allows the vehicle to be started, you have to replicate that code or the car wont start, just go to a local install shop and ask for the proper transponder bypass for that model of vehicle and off you go....
