i installed a used viper alarm that was bought off of ebay and installed in my friends 95 suburban. everything works fine exept for the ground when armed output the kills the starter. my question is this how can someone or what can damage this output? will the alarm still function properly with this output damaged, aside from not having a starter kill what else can go wrong later on.

This output is normally just used for the starter kill so nothing major will happen to the car ...just the starter kill won't work..  which doesn't do a whole lot for "security"

The other things that this would be used for are window roll up modules, and other accessory type controlers...

Overall you can still wire up that relay to do starter kill by using the siren output or other wires....

This wire could be damaged by improper installation...

Another Ebay refurbished viper..
