I have a 1998 explorer with a Command Start CS 2400 remote starter. When I brought this truck I had to put a cut off key in the ignition to remote start it. I installed a Astro Flex OM ford keypass module or ford transponder. Now I have to reprogram the CS 2400 to put out a negative on Aux 3 or white wire to be on from the remote start until shutdown (Mode 1). Can someone explain to me how to reprogram this unit. Hi Guys
I FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!!! I had to buy a installation manual from the dealer, but it was worth the $5.00, because I saved 100's and the remote starter works great. I had to redo all the connection because the originally installer use "T" connectors. Two of the connections failed. I soldered them all. Soldering is the best way to go. I no long need to use the sawed of key. Is that GGGGGGGGGG r e a t!!!!!!!!!!!
Tks for all the information as I learnt a lot from just reading about someone else's problems. Keep on writing in.
