I have a Crimestopper RS900 remote starter with a pkg4

keyless bypass module that i intend to install this

weekend in a 2000 Grand Prix. I've read the instructions and the wiring schematic and i have a question about

the integration of the factory alarm with the doorlocks.

Right now my factory alarm arms when i remote lock

and disarms with remote unlock or doorkey. The remote

starter has (4) wires for unlock/lock and oem arm/disarm.

Are there any special steps i need to take to keep my

locks/alarm operating the way they are now.

You will not have to use the ARM/DISARM wires seeing that the system arms and disarms with lock/unlock. The only problem you will have is that the OEM slarm will be armed when you lock the car and upon remote starting the vehicle the OEM alarm will engage. What you will need to do it to go to the lock/unlock motor wires an d not the switch. Here are the colors:

LOCK MOTOR----------gray | |driver kick panel |

UNLOCK MOTOR------tan | |driver kick panel |

Test for polarity, but I thnk they are 12 volt positive triggers at the motor wires.

Thanks, i got this to work by pulsing the lt.blue/doorlock

and the tan/doorpin at the same time with the lock output.

I had to reprogram the factory alarm first to arm with the

door switch. The owners manual had instructions on how to

do this.

Another question. There is a relay behind the headlight

switch, i can hear it switch when i pop the trunk with the

factory keyfob. Can i use this to pop the trunk with the

(-)output instead of hooking up a seperate relay?

I'm glad this is almost done. I don't know how you guys

can install these for a living. My neck hurts,my back

hurts, my a*s hurts, and i've been popping tylenol like

candy. I'm way too big to be crawling under the dash.

You can get the truck wire at the grey relay, brown wire. - pulse. You should be able to see it quite easily with the dash panel removed.

I hear that! I've been doing this for around 10 years. And at 6'2" 240lbs, I must say its not always easy!
