My daughter bought a 2000 z24 that had a security/starter
system in it. However there were no remote controls with it. I purchased a 670 remote (has lcd screen on it) and
programmed it.the doors will unlock, truck will open, can read inside temp ect., but will not start the car. It honks 2 times and the parking lamps blink 4 times but will not start. Has a 555l module attached to the main control. all fuses look good, and mercury hood switch is good. what should i look for on this system to make the remote start
work. Also the red toggle switch is switched to "ON' position. Any help would be appreciated.

4 blinks normally means you need to learn the tach signal, OR if it is in tachless blind crank mode you just have to start the car 4 times with the key so it can learn the crank time.

Thanks for the reply Mike.  I did find a bad remote security toggle switch.....what a bummer...never have seen one of these switches be completely open,,,,replaced and all is fine now.   P.S.  metered all commections before deciding to check the bad switch though.....probably a waste of time.
