hi all

anyone  can tell me  how to disconnect  thr  factory  alarm on buick  park  avenue  1992  i want  to install  new  alarm  . becaus of the factory alarm is on the car is not  starting with the key on  run but ther is no start so i thaut my be its the factory  disarm wire.

your car has a resistor in the key right? if so you will not be able to bypass because it is tied right into the power train module (computer) only if you have the pellet in the key. if this is the case then you will need to replace then ignition switch key cylinder. they get worn out in side and lose contact with the pellet. i've had to do three this month alone. if you have anyother question pm me

you can get the cylinder at a local lock smith. when you install it you will have to cut the wire at the junction block near where your feet rest above the brake pedal. just make sure you soldier you connection. it dont matter what way the two wires go seeing that it is a resistor.(no polarity). lol
