I am installing a remote starter from DesingTech or its new owner DEI. The manual for the remote starter asks for wires colors that I can't find. I'm having trouble finding the Ignition 2 wire, it is supposed to be a white wire, but their are only two white wires and one is the starter and the other stays on all the thru from the accessory to crank and run.

I'm also having trouble finding the Passlock II wires, on the 05' model they yellow, black, and RED / white. But on the 06' I can't find these three wires together, and their isn't a single yellow wire down there.

If anyone knows if the wires have changed for the 06' silverado and if they know the new diagram I would really appreciate it if you could share it with me.

I'm installing Passlock bypass and I want to know what it means when it asks to connect the wires to the engine side and to the key side.

accs.1 and 2 with ign.2 are in the same harness its over the left hand metal brace, under dash. Leads to the back of the fuse box

orange, white and brown

The passlock black and yellow are sticking out of the junction box right next to that metal brace that I described above

People are still HARD WIRING PassLocks????2006 Silverado wiring diagram -- posted image.

They should outlaw them............2006 Silverado wiring diagram -- posted image.

When you cut the PassLock wire in half, you will have one side going to Ignition Switch and one side going to "engine side" ( if that is what you want to call it.......)

Thanks to both of you, you have helped me a lot.

When you say the accs.1 and 2 with ign.2 wires are the orange, white and brown does that mean the purplish brown wire is the ign. 2 wire or the is it the white wire because the brown wire is the only one that checks out the right way on my multimeter.

And for the passlock II wires are they the same color as the 05' model (yellow, black, and red w/ white) or are they a different color.
