is there an instruction manual for the bitwriter 998t and the 2.2 chip? I just got one today and dont really know how to use it.

look in the downloads section (to the left under general info) covers the basic operation of the bitwriter, Hope this helps

It is really pretty simple.
Plug it in, turn it on, hit read, then hit the up and down arrows to highlight the option, hit select to change the option, then when everything is set up the way you want it hit write, when it pops up the next screen hit select a couple times to change the remote to 0(0 programs all remotes) and then hit write again.

have you actually tried to use it??? you plug it in, turn it on, and off you go...... it's so simple to use a chimp could do it.... use the up/down arrows to move up and down the menu and the BIG button in the middle to change selections....
