ok so I am attempting to replace the factory keyless entry/alarm with a new code alarm keyless entry/alarm (the remotes for the old system are missing and a whole new system was cheaper then replacing the remotes) anyway, i am assuming I can just use the wires that connect to the original module under the seat by cutting off the harness, when I disconnect the old system the car wont start however, will the car start again with the new system connected or is this something to do with needing the old one and should I just leave it and install the new on top of the old one? sorry for such a long question couldnt think of a shorter way to word it.

Just leave it and install the new alarm.
