Hey guys, I wanted to run something past you.  We installed an alarm/remote start in an 07 GMC Sierra truck which uses the databus system.  We used a DEI 457GW bypass module to intigrate with the system.  The customer mentioned that one time while he was driving,  the vehicle shut off on him.  We didn't install any starter or ignition kill,  so the only possibility I can see of it being caused by the alarm is if the 457 is effecting the Passlock system somehow.  It has only happened once, and the customer has had the vehicle for a couple weeks.  Has anyone run into this before?

We have also noticed another odd thing.  For some reason with every 07 GMC, the door trigger wire doesn't work with the bypass module.  We hook up the green (negative trigger) alarm wire to the green wire on the 457 and it doesn't see the door trigger.  I should note that the door locks work just fine, so we don't have the wrong green wire.07 Sierra shuts down -- posted image.  It's a simple fix as all we have to do is hook up the easily accessible positive trigger directly to the alarm.  But we wanted to see if there was a trick to get it to work with the 457GW.  Thanks for the help.

you have to hook up the grey/black domelight wire in order for the green to output a signal... you know that right?

Passlock only looks at a window during crank... so i doubt the issue he had with it shutting off while driving had anything to do with the bypass module.....

No, actually I didn't.  The instructions never specified that.  Thanks for the tip.

That's what I figured.  I knew the older resistive system couldn't effect it, but wasn't sure about the databus system and wanted to make sure.

We just remembered that the door trigger wire worked fine through the 457GW  on an 06 Chevy/GMC systems without that gray/black wire hooked up.  So why not on the 07?
