I know that there are alot of installers on this fourum who maybe directly linked with DEI, i'm contemplating opening my own store, and i wanted to find out if anyone would be able to assist me in making a direct link with DEI, to purchase alarms from them, i am from trinidad in the carribean, but i can get someone to do the purchasing and shipping for me from the U.S, any help would be appreciated, and maybe and average on what you guys pay for a basic system from directed, so i have an idea. You can PM me the info.

Darren I discovered that with all the DEI upheavals in the UK over the last couple of years it was still easier and cheaperto buy official product in the UK.
Interestingly some spare and accessory parts are actually cheaper in the UK.
If I were you I'd contact Ted and try to get some Compustar product, it's seemingly far more reliable these days.
I've got Ted's email address.
DEI have or used to have an International section run by my old mate Karl, I've noticed lots of activity in S.E.Asia and Australia. ref: Viper product, but then they don't know any better out there, Ossies are all ex-crims.

Viper is the trusted source by customers here Howard, although i know Compustar is more solid, the public here is bent on viper because they've known it for so long, i need a link to purchase the alarms really cheap, if I can establish one i could cut my costs on the overall price here, but if i can't then i'll just have to purchase locally from wholesalers .

Those units are pricey howard, thanks for the info though, it's appreciated, we don't have regulations here for thatcham alarms, so basic systems pull in the dough. Although, locally, GPS tracking has taken over, i'm working for a design engineering company, they work directly with the factory in japan to have the units produced, we're killing all competition in Trinidad and Tobago right now, I mean literally all, it's unbelievable the response we're getting. I've been doing around 18 units per week for the last two months at a cost of 1600$$ per unit.
