hi all newbie here and I will be installing a commando fm-870 into my 2003 silverado lt. this truck has electric heated seats and was wondering if I can use one of the units outputs to turn the heared seats on, thanks for your response         steve

not familiar with the unit itself butr so long as it has +12 output and you use a relay to switch it on then there shouldn't be and dramas but make sure you enter the seat control BEFORE the thermostat otherwise you will run into all sorts oif trouble!!!!

Astrochart shows this and I have done it. (before the invention of the IMHDT1)  At the heat switch there are two soldering points just below the switch itself. One to the right and one to the left. Using a relay take pin 87 to the "right" soldering point. take pin 30 to the "left" soldering point, thru a 2k ohm resistor. Pin 86 gets 12 volts. Pin 85 gets triggered from you neg(-) output from you alarm (trunk or aux). Hit the button 1 time (AFTER REMOTE START) the seat goes to high....hit it again the seat goes to low, one more time OFF.

BE CAREFULL with the soldering!

Try and find an IMHDT1. you can cut the harness off and hard wire it   COOL PEICE

the '03 trucks have two seat controls one that runs the seat bottom and back and one that is just the back of the seat, both have high, medium, low                  steve
