go down to an ACE hardware. back by the washer and dryer install parts you can by heat shield blanket for under 2 bucks a foot. it's about 1/4 inch thick. Cut it to fit and you can put it around your intake how ever you want, duct tape, epoxy... It's cheap and works well. then you can make a vinal cover to go over that so it looks descent. it works.

wow..... ghetto..... but I had never though about doing that lol. To think I went through all the trouble of relocating my battery and running a new pipe to obtain cool air lol.

auex, i said it would be cheap and easy, like your girlfriend. But but would work. i didn't say that it would look great or that it would be something you would do to a mercedes. but thanks for the input.

You obviously didn't understand the concept of what the guy was going for. Heat shield for the filter not the pipe, hence the cardboard. It is your own damn fault that you posted something so damn rediculous. They actually make a thermal wrap that goes on intakes and exhaust, but that would be doing it the right way and who wants to do that. I bet you are one of those installers that uses duct tape and wirenuts on every job, huh? Thanks for the input but until you can read, f**k off.
