I just finished my fiberglass sub enclosure and I was originally going to just keep bondo'ing and sanding until its super smooth and then paint it with some high gloss, but decided I didn't have time to keep at it, since saturday is the only real day i have to work on it. I decided carpet is going to be the way to go. However, I'm extremely stupid when it comes to figuring out the best way to carpet an organic shape such as this one:

Any tips for carpeting a fiberglassed organic shape?
Thanks all.

hi,

well since the enclosure appears somewhat cylindrical, i'd remove it from the vehicle.  remove the woofer.  starting at the bottom of the enclosure, i'd wrap and glue the carpet, continuing around,  leaving three or so inches at the driver opening.  then glue at the driver opening and pull/stretch the material inwards.  sounds easy doesn't it.
