proper way to wire this switch?

I purchased this switch to run some LED Halo lights, but the switch is a bit more complex than I'm used to: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hfm-sw43w/media/instructions Instead of the typical Power, ground & output it has five connections: LED+, LED-, Normally Open, Normally Closed and Common. The instructions have a section on button illumination, but it talks about positive input and negative input. I have no idea what that means. I would want to do is have the button LED come on when the LED halo's come on. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you.

That means your +12V and GND to illuminate the LED. The switch has 2 sets of terminals - one + & - for the LED, the others are the actual switch contacts. Connect the LED terminals however you want them - probably to the switch output (to the Halos) and GND respectively.

hi, Common to power from vehicle for the halos (fuse please) Normally open to positive power lead of the halos, ground the negative lead of the halos. LED + jumps over to the Normally open terminal. LED - connects to ground. illumination on when pushed ..positive input ..page 2 at the top.

Thanks for the replies! When you say the LED+ "jumps over" to the Normally Open terminal...that means that there are two wires that connect to the N.O., right? The LED+ and then the positive power lead from the halos?

Thanks for the response, but I just started getting into the wiring and found another issue. The halos I got are Oracle brand, purchased from AAC Style. I've had these installed for 2 years, but they've been on a remote. The halos are dual color (red & white), there are three wires for each: one red and two black (one black each for the red & the white). Wiring to the remote was easy, but I'm not sure how to wire these to switches. I purchased to flush mount LED switches (see above). I have a white switch that I want to operate the white halos and the red switch to run the red halos. But, I'm not sure how I would wire this properly since it's different than anything I've wired before.

ok, the red lead for the halos connects to the fused power source directly, not through the switch. the black lead of the halo (either for red or white) connects to the normally open terminal of the switch common terminal of switch connects to ground. led + connects to fused power (red lead on halos) led - connects to normally open terminal of switch illumination on when pushed ..negative input ..page 2 at the top switches control negative leads of halos.
