I mean you have your hi brights lo just head lights and then you have that pull back lever for the brights and thats only one that works. It is also only time relay clicks.Like I said I have a haynes manual and it does have diagram but beginer so hard to read. When I installed keyless entry didnt touch anything to do with headlights only parking flash. Every thing was fine when i left truck came back and lights didnt work weird. So what we got is headlights not working switched in brights flash works made sure lights work hi lo. one other thing i did was when they stopped working light connections kind of falling apart so replaced it with 3 crimped connectors to 3 poles on back of switch.

is there an aftermarket switch installed to turn on the headlights?

and

Did you try to turn the headlights on with the ignition on?

No all i did was install keyless entry door locks didnt touch headlights only parking flashers and its same stock switch the only thing i could think of is maybe has something to do with ground maybe hit something and made lose ground if u r somebody could explain in laymans how dc volts work with switching and relays and most important grounding alot to ask but would be greatly appreciated. one more thing i had said i replaced light connecters with 3 crimped connectors to back of 3 pole switch ment back of headlight

wow; that's a very broad question. especially for someone who is trying to install their own keyless entry system.

check out http://www.bcae1.com read through all that is available, that is probably the best place to start for an understanding of DC voltage, relays, etc.
