i am in the UK and came across this phrase "Dome light supervision??" on this site - can anybody clarify what it means??

Is it just the connection to the door switch??

Also, the term hot and cold brake pops up  - is this just the connection to either side of the brake pedal switch??

Another one if I may, when fitting engine starters, how difficult is it to bypass the transponder immobiiser. I have seen kits on other sites for PATS and PASSLOCK and also a universal transponder bypass kit. Can anybodly enlighten me as to how they connect etc

Hi Naughtydog, "dome light supervision" is basically the same as "illuminated entry". "Hot and cold" side of brake refers to the constant 12V+ lead (hot) and the lead that rest at ground (cold) when the pedal is not pressed (or both leads on the brake switch). Installing a transponder/VATS bypass is not difficult and you can find many explainations throughout this forum. https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/search.asp?search=transponder&searchMode=allwords&searchIn=Thread&forum=0&searchSort=dateDESC&Submit=Start+Search
