so i posted previously about my oem 6x9's blowing with the monsoon sound system in my 06 g6 gtp. lookin at bi-amp speakers, i will be able to use the factory wiring to the crossover to the bi-amp speakers since i will be able to isolate the tweeter/mid range and woofer with factory wiring already in place.

what do you all recommend as far as a decent bi-amp 6x9?? i was looking at the soundstream sst6.9's or possibly the boston acoustic rx97's. any input is greatly appreciated!!!!

You're going to be powering them via factory amp?! If so, why spend the money?

using the factory amp to power these speakers is only a temporary solution until i can get the rest of the system together. i will be replacing everything in the car with aftermarket, but it isnt going to happen over night.

Find out what the impedance of the factory speakers is, then check back.

When you do, we can see whether a 2 or 4ohm version would be best, if either will work at all. Unless someone knows the impedance of those factory speakers...
