afternoon,
installed an ipod cable to a kenwood kvt617dvd. ipod 5thgen video
   ipod connector has the following wires
red=power
black=ground
three rca connectors
hooked it up to kenwood unit at aux input for audio/video signal .
i can not get the video on the H/U screen all connections are correct.get excellent sound from ipod for music and video,just no picture? anyone have ideas what might be wrong other than a bad ipod cable? any help is greatly appreciated.

Can you display video from the internal drive?  Is the parking brake on?

parking brake on. dvd's will play fine.no video on video 1 or 2.

On the ipod itself you have to go into your video settings and turn the tv signal out to on, so that it sends the video signal out. Since you said you have audio for the video from the ipod, that should be what your issue is. Hope that helps and if I'm right it should. So once again on your ipod, go into the video settings and there is a selection called tv signal out, turn that to on since it should be off right now, so turn it to on and you should have video.
