Need? No.
Want? IMO, YES!.
Sedate asked for your existing amp, please post that info, and we can help a little further.

Okay well - for conversations sake don't buy that piece of garbage amplifier.

You need a four-channel amplifier.  You can run either all 4 cabin speakers (but you can't fade between front and rear speakers) and subs, or front cabin speakers and subs.

For an entry level amp I would recommend, try this:

Anyway - uhh - then you just need coaxials and a sub and you'll have a decent entry-level system.

I would go with a Rockfordfosgate amp ,they are always good and always under rated on power.
Pioneer DEH-P960MP+Multi-CD Player Rockfordfosgate 225.2
Rockfordfosgate T8004 Rockfordfosgate 2 T110D2 InFinity Reference Components 2 sets of 6000cs 2 sets 6800cs

Underrated or not, (and truth be known, they are almost as bad as ANY swap-o-rama brand with their outlandish power claims...) as far as sound quality is concerned, might as well buy the Power Acoustik... RF flat out sucks for sound quality, certainly a better choice would be the Cadence, and cheaper to boot!

No. I say that because TECHNICALLY, you can connect an infinite number of speakers to ANY amplifier...
The more channels an amplifier has, the more discrete signal paths it has... i.e. FR, FL, RR, RL, center, subwoofer: or even going to the extent of highs, mids, and lows "PER CORNER", (also requiring multiple channels) etc. You cannot have multiple discrete sound sources (discrete, meaning individual and unique) with a single channel amplifier.
