i have my setup thats in my sig. and all the stuff is the same but today i sold my jbl amp and when i unplugged it and taped up the power ground and remote wire. i noticed that when i turned the car on, drove home, got out and turned the car off.... the monoblock amp was still on. it stayed on until i had to just unplug the fuses on the distro block. it never did this before but now that i only have one amp in there it stays on. where could the problem be? thanks

You mean we went through all that in the other thread and you sold the amp?  Why did you waste my time???

Perhaps the problems you are having are related to the installation?  I suggest you need to go pay for help from a local professional.

Did you tape the remote wire up with the power wire?

Grab a volt meter and make sure you don't have 12vdc on the remote wire with the radio off.  If you do, I would start by inspecting the wiring you last touched.  If it is completely isolated I would pull the deck and disconnect the remote wire behind the deck and measure the output from the deck with the car off - it should be 0vdc.  I would then measure the voltage on the remote wire - if it still 12vdc then your remote wire is shorted to your power wire somewhere.  It would probably be easiest to just run a new remote wire then to try to find where the exact problem is.

When you unhooked the JBL amp did you have to unhook the other amp at all?  I would also make sure that neither the remote wire nor the power wire have a strand of copper sticking out thats making contact with the other wire.

ok i will try to get a volt meter. but no i just took the distro fuses out so i wouldnt blow anything up and disconnected the jbl and taped all the wires up. none of them touched. and no i didnt unhook the other amp. i was thinking also, i rana the remote wire to the monoblock then piggybacked from the monoblock to the jbl. now the monoblock just has the remote wire comi to it then a 2 foot peice going out and iunto nothin just taped up. is that important maybe?

If you are determined to do you own work it is imperative that you have the right tools - you shouldn't even be asking questions in here about how to fix a wiring related issue if you don't own a volt meter.

I would highly suggest you purchase at least a cheap $20 Craftsman meter or pay someone to troubleshoot things for you.

This totally applies to you.
