I have a Hifonics bxi 1606d amplifer and a few months ago it went out on me, I can't see where anu of the resistors are burnt out nor see any other damaged ares. So I was wonder if anyone could help me find the schematics for the amp so I can cross-refference everything on the amp to make sure it's properly running.

Thank you so much.

Define "went out".  Does it mean the amp does not come on, does it come on temporarily and then blows the fuse, does the protection light stay on?

I've had this same amp and I have a similar issue you might be able to help me with.  My younger sibbling removed the sub box out of the vehicle and left the speaker wires hanging.  He drove it like that and I'm assuming the speaker wires made contact with each other while driving.  I removed the amp and installed it in a  2003 chevy tahoe.  As soon as the amp powered it would pop the fuse on the 4 ga. power wire at the battery.  What could cause this ? Same model amp as listed above.

dbldragon if you feel I hijacked your thread I apologize I just didn't think its necassary to make another topic

I do believe if memory serves me. The amp does turn on and is ready to go but nothing comes out no sound or anything.
