Hello everyone
I'm looking for a good article to help me understand rca with mutichannel
Amps......been reading and searching however still have many questions
I have a 2000 impala ls and trying to install a nice system with what I have
12" solo baric 4ohms dvc sub
2 mephis 6" round front speakers 55rms
Vibe 430 amp
Mtx thunder 2300x
I wanted to install only only the vibe amp...however I've been told I can't
Bridge 2 channles and then have the other two running in stero...
I want to understand this more
Second I know 4 channels means 4 rca cables....however i see some
People only have to rcas and then add splitters
Hoever I could of swear I when I had my vibe installed in my truck (by a pro)
With to 6x9 and two 10"s it only had two rca cable huck up to it
So this is where I don't understand rcas? How many rcas do I need?
What's the diff between 4 rcas and two rcas with splitters? And can I or why can't
I bridge two channels on a 4 channel amp and huck up the other two channels
Normally?
I know that's a lot guys this is why I'm looking for an artilce....any help is great
....thanks guys.

1. Yes, your amplifier can be bridged. But it can only produce 200W bridged to your sub (8 ohm load). (Dual voice coil in series).
2. On your amp you must use 4 RCa's. use a splitter.

ok so. For example is it possible to put the mephis speakers indivisually to
A channel 1 and 2.....and then bridge 3 and 4 to my 4 ohms dvc
Sub? I know "just put two amps" yeah I would like to save the mephis for my
Truck
I emailed crunchfield and they said no I lost the mail
However the said something about rca signal being shared.
And why do u say 8ohms.... I thought since its a dual voice 4
Ohms I can huck it up. 2 .... 4.... or 8 so this means I can see
400 rms max if I bridge it at 4ohms (hucking up only one coil)
The specs for the vibe are.
4 x 125 w rms @ 4ohms
4 x 200 w rms @ 2 ohms
2 x 400 w rms @ 4 ohms bridged

You can bridge 2 channels and have the other 2 running in stereo.
