how much of a sound/ power difference would there be in these different types of sub wiring setups:
Option 2 (series/parallel) = 4 ohm load
Option 2 (series/parallel) = 2 ohm load
I am asking becuase Ijust got new subs and they are dual 4ohms I asked for the dual 2ohms.anyway I want to know the advantages / disadvantges of dual 2ohm vs. dual 4ohm. they are 2 12" re audiosr12d4 they would be ran mono to a 500 wattrms memphis monoblock. thnak you

Wire them in whatever way is correct for your amplifier.  What is the lowest impedance the amp can sustain?

You should insist on getting your order the way you wanted and run the two DVC 2's at a 2 ohm impedance.  Don't jeopardize your amplifier's life expectancy because of someone else's mistake.  Further, in reference to your question, the DVC 4's would be the choice if your amp was a two-channel rather than a mono (run at 2 ohms/channel).  Or, if you wanted to max a capably-rated mono amp with a 1 ohm load.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
