Car: 93` Toyota Camry LE
Audio: Alpine IDA-X200, Infinity 6022's, Alpine SPS-609's, Kenwood KAC-8104, 4 Gauge Wiring, 12" Alpine Type-R(All 14 Gauge speaker wire)+Ported box tuned @ 38 Hz (Pre-fab).
For the amp, I have the LPF on 100, Gain set at 3/4 (0.5), Bass is set to the max. ISF at 25 Hz. For the headunit, I have the subwoofer volume to the max. Treble to the max. Bass at -5, 200 Hz and 4 wide. HPF is at 120 Hz. Loud is Off. Fader/Balance ar equal. For the box, its a pre-fab that I bought on Ebay. If you can please go on Ebay and copy paste this item number: 170347628466 (since Ebay links don't work :p).
I'm think do I need a stronger amp? build a ported custom enclosure? Or am I missing something? Or maybe I'm going def, LOL. Well I'm pretty my setup has potential, and sure I'm missing something. Any honest help will work, I'd appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

IMO, and... based on what appears to be your desired goal, that's NOT the right box for you... Tuned a bit low, and I'm also thinking that one of THAT particular woofer isn't going to meet your goals.
Again, IMO, you need a woofer more aimed at SPL. While the Rs are not what I would call an SQ woofer in the strictest sense of the word, they aren't meant for the outputs I think you want, especially when running solo.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

most importantly. type R subs nee power, at least 500 rms and that little kenwood will never get that sub moving like u want it to. i didnt check out the box but going with a custom box built to the spec of the subs is always the best idea, especially when u are doing a nonsealed box. and tune it up a bit..above 50 would sound best.

above 50hz? i hope he only listens to tones. above 50 is good for one note competition boxes but uuuuh i wouldn't go there if you want to hear decent quality with music. but i DO agree with getting a new box made. what is the cubic footage of your prefab box?

I agree the pre-fab enclosure is part of the issue.  Is your sub a 1242 or a 1222?  How do you have it wired?  Also please try this: set your bass and treble controls to +1 or +2.  Make sure your sub is set to SYS1.  Set the HPF to 80Hz.  On the amp, set the bass boost to zero and then follow these instructions to set your gain: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~85479~PN~1  Report back when you are done.

is that with or without the port volume included? i would make it a little bit bigger, maybe 2.4 plus whatever the port is

ok so your 1.9 includes the port which means that it is probably closer to 1.5 cubic feet if you subtract the port. that is about what alpine recommends for a ported enclosure so i would give it about another half a cubic foot and tune your port low

Not if he wants output... You tune high for SPL, say somewhere in the 42-45Hz range. He's already tuned too low, which is why his output suffers so drastically.
