I was about to order the Apline MRP-M1000(289.00 shipped, brand new) but it was out of stock when i finally came up with the money. My question is now a possible change in amps. Would it be fine to run 2 Kenwood KAC-7204(129.00 free shipping) Amplifiers Vs 1 Alpine MRP-M1000 Amplifier for 2 Alpine TYPE R subwoofers (2x2 ohm)?
Car is a 2009 Toyota Corolla
Speakers i already own are brand new Apline Type R 12's(2x2ohms)
Now i just need to choose the amps. Do you think the 2 vs 1 would be fine??

The CEA rating and 130$ for 500w is appetizing. The alpine is class D as a benefit. I could see the kenwoods each runnin stereo 2ohm coils....Opiniarian: Alpine takes a beating, the durability that I am sure about would make me stick with the 1k. Plus, they grow on trees, cant you find one elsewhere?
This is what I do for FUN!

Yes, for a few dollars more. I think im going with the Alpine for a few reasons. If i get bored with two Type R's i can upgrade to the X's or bigger and i would have a single amp(alpine) that would power one of those speakers in the future. I would just have to buy a second.
Thanks for the help
