Hello, I have a 2007 Ridgeline with Navi. I have components in the front and a sub running through a cheap Scosche line-level converter (SLC4) into a Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X4R. The components work fine but... The subwoofer does not work unless I either place the sub output to a speaker then hook it up to the line input or toggle the line input on and off. Any clue what to do? Maybe a different line converter - by the way, I tried 2 different line converters - the same model and brand

What is your LOC connected to?  Where is it getting its signal?

The factory sub out, eh?  Before the factory sub amplifier or after it?

Connect only the left or right RCA cable to the amp, does it play now?

I am thinking he has wired the LOC out of phase, thus producing no sound at all when both RCAs are plugged in.

Yes, either that or there is no signal (or power) to the OEM sub amp in the first place.
