Can anyone think of a way to shield a radio from inducing low buzzing sound from a GSM based GPS tracking device? Upon transmission the radio buzzes slightly.

Device can be moved but I was hoping for another solution.

Vehicle is a mid 2000 Ford Ranger.. Completed a bunch of installs last week and so far only one out of 20 or so is buzzing.

LOL - welcome to the tumorous & cancerous world of GSM.

It probably is easier moving the device. Even PCs and amplifiers can suffer GSM injection, and radios still require their exposed antennas.

But radios are usually fully case shielded so it might "only" be necessary to filter its power leads, speaker leads and other external connections - ie, maybe caps, else ferrites, but maybe even coaxial caps.

But generally separating an extra 1m or maybe 2m solves the problem.

If you can't physically separate the devices you can try using mu-metal sheet around and between the units. It is designed to shield against EMI and can also work with RFI.

RFC is EMI.

But if you are saying mu-metal does not shield as well for high frequencies...
