You would be MUCH better off just chucking that amp and purchasing a more repudable brand. Unfortunately I've owned a Road Gear amp (...shiver..), and I fried it easily. Post your setup and maybe some of the pro's in here can help you out on a viable amp choice.

i do amp reapir for a shop on the side what parts did you fry. the power supply side or the channel side. what is the amp doing. no output? drawing excessive current ? dc to the speakers i can probably tell you where to look for parts like mosfets and other parts if i dont have them already.everyone calls me subwoofer

Well what happened is I took a plug and tried to wire it up to hook into an outlet, stupid me I was wated at the time, and I thought there might have been some type of voltage regulator on it to conver 120V to 12V. So... anyway I plugged it in and it fried the damn thing. So im guessing I fried the power supply side of the amp.

Well that is one problem i have never faced. If nothing was hooked up as far as speakers go then you probably just fried the power supply side. How bad is another thing. Open the amp up and look for damage such as burnt traces on the main board and when mosfets decide to really blow the usually crack and or shatter. there is a number on them they are the black squares that hang of the sides of the board. the ones closest to the big coil. big magnet with copper wrapped all around it is the powe supply side. If you are lucky that is all that is wrong and those mosfets cost anywhere from .02 c  all the way up to like 10 bucks a piece. just do a web search and find the cheapest ones and rplace them since the only way to test them is with a scope.everyone calls me subwoofer

Thanks for the advice I will look into it. I also havent replied in a while cause of my POS computer only has dial-up and it was infected with a virus. I have a guy that I work with that used to be a engineer for NASA and he is a human schematic. Thank you for all of your help.
