i currently own two sets of subs, one set is with me in hawaii, the kappa perfects 12.1 and the other set is in my truck in md, the apline R10's

i just want to know what you all think about the brands, i plan to purchase the corrisponding brand in the different size, kappa perfect 10.1 to match the 12.1's and the Alpine R12's to match the R10's but i only want to keep one brand which do you suggest i keep and which should i sell off to friends?

it's what you like. not us. opinions are like a$$ holes we all got one. I like the kappa's, but some one else will swear that i'm full of $*it and don't know what i'm talking about. so get the one's you like and think are the best. after all you are the one who got to listen to them.

you think a set of perfects 2 10's and 2 12's will have higher spl than 2 alpine R10's and 2 alpine R12's?

Well i think you should stick to one size sub as well. You'll run into a lot of cancelation problems. BUt if you've got the time to tinker with boxes and crossover frequencies it would be a nice setup! So i would suggest either going with all 12's or all 10's.

Well i would say alpine out of the 2. Although they are very closely matched. But if your looking for more SQ them go for the Perfects. If your going for sound quality you don't really just want your subs to go loud they have to be crisp.
SQ = Infinity
SPL = Alpine
(when comparing the two. i'm sure other ppl have different opinions though)
