multiple amps and remote wires

If i were to hook up 2 or more amps how would i wire the remote wires (usually the blue wire on the H/U)  of multiple amps with out burning out the H/U? I heard I would have to use a relay to do this is this correct and if so how would i wire it up?  Also would I need a relay for each additional amp? or can one relay be used for 2 or 3 amps? Thanks in advance for any info.

Daisy-chaining is OK as long as you do not overload the HU circuit.  Most HUs will output a couple of amps on the remote lead and most amps draw a few miliamps, so you are generally safe to switch two or three pieces of equipmnet (amps, crossovers, etc.)  If you start adding on four or five or more, or if you add fans or other switched equipment, you will definately want to add a relay and fuse block.  One relay will do the trick for everything, again depending on the total current draw you are powering.

what i do is i just have a 12v power source hooked up to a switch but for the H/U just make that one wire split off into 3 remote wires---- 1996 Chevy S10 ----
